A nightmare?

A nightmare? Was it a dream? A fore telling of what might happen. Maybe adding Nova to the ship's crew did something. I really don't know. All I know is, that I awoke aboard FTM Found Something, sitting in normal space, in the Blua Eaec EL-P b50-11 system. The transactions panel was blank. No limpets or other cargo in the bay. So, I'm not taking any chances that something was telling me what my furture looked like - it's time for a straight shot to Fort Mug. No scanning, mapping, landing, surface mining or Exobigilgy. Time for human contact.
Course plotted - 124 jumps to Fort Mug.
Engaged Full Impulse and charged Frameshift Drive at 330905052230 for the 1st jump.
Docked - Fort Mug 330905060305
YES - I MADE IT TO COLONIA
Star data sold - promoted to Explorer Elite I
Bio data sold - promoted to Cataloguer.
Total in the bank - just over 3.044B.
Started this trip with just over 2.001B in the bank.
I was a Pioneer in Exploring.
I was a Compiler as an Exobiologist.
This trip was worth it - over 1B added to the bank and advanced 2 ranks in both Exploring and Exobilogy.
So, all done at the Fort. On my way in, saw some signs that I'm going to have to check out. I was told about Jaques Station and figured I go check it real quick. That is where I'm currently at. Saw even more signs on the way into it. I have a feeling I'm going to be doing the "tourist" thing for a bit. I think this is going to be an interesting place to be during the mandatory refit on the 9th.
It was asked - would I do it again. Short version - yes. The real reason why I did this was because I had to get away. Needed a break. BGS work and the bug takes a strain. Adding another B in the bank didn't hurt either. This is the richest I've ever been. Not FC level - yet. I'm still thinking it over and if that is a goal, I want to set for myself.
Now, as for the trip - I kind of pushed it. Could have done some more "exploring" but having never done it before and having to be somewhere safe before the galaxy refit - kind of had to push it in the end. Watching the side panel showing Terra and Geo and Bio that were in the systems I ran through without stopping - hurt. But, I think, staying in the Colonia region for about a week after the refit, for things to stable out, will be a good idea. No need to rush back to the bubble.
And, if I take "round the galazy" way back (without anymore nightmares), and not having to worry about being in a hurry, who knows what may be in store for the next adventure.
(irl note - A big THANK YOU to Fdev. For those that are confused - I have over 4K hours in game. I was told to ask and took the gamble and did. I requested a respawn. I really expected a laughing emote, with nothing else, as a reply. My request had stated "read the irl note" of my last log for explanation.
---- Here - cut and pasted - is the reply from Fdev ---
Hi there CMDR,
Thanks for getting in touch regarding your lost ship.
Normally with issues such as these, we want to ask players to simply be more careful and send them on their way.
But, as this is the first ticket you've made of this nature, I'm happy to make an exception! As the owner of a cat of similar age, I know the feeling of helping our little guys get through it as easily as possible.
As a one-time gesture of good will, I have fully repaired your Asp. I hope that helps.
Please note while we’re always happy to help our Commanders in need, we may not be able to help with a similar issue as restoring your ship like this.
If there is anything else we can help you with, don't hesitate to ask. We're happy to help.
From myself and my fluffy co-pilot, best regards.
---- and that is one of the reasons why I love this game. It wasn't just the 1st ticket of "this nature", it was my 1st ticket ever. It really wasn't my fault due to something stupid (lord knows I've done that enough times). I mean, 18M T10 rebuy - many times - fighting bugs. Or playing tag in the toaster rack and losing. Jumping into a ring to prospect for goodies when you already have some items in the cargo bay and pirates show up. Trying a 3g planet landing in a vette. Yep, those are my fault. It's playing the game. You don't cry to Fdev. You suck it up and keep going. I really did expect the same for this due to hours played, but they took pity on me. I told them, and I stuck to my promise, that if I got revived, I'd head straight to Fort Mug. Just look at the time - 124 jumps in under 5 hours - the paint just peeled right off. Worse than doing the Hutton Run. --- Again, Fdev, Thank you.)
