Lost in time - and space

At first there was white void, then the whiteness decreased into a single horizontal line. The flash of re-entry to normal space ended with a buzzing that wasn’t any normal noise, it was something more critical, a contralto vibration that penetrated the post-warp nausea without any effort. Blinking away the grit from who-knew-how-many-cycles of real-time, she managed to get her mouth to the spigot and take a sip. Deep, slow breathing helped. All she could see through the viewport was the ionisation of particles which glowed in ultraviolet, creating a shield of impenetrable radiation around the ship. It appeared to be caught in an electromagnetic field. Sparks ran over control surfaces but the diodes were frozen...and the clock wasn't running.
