Getting my integrity checked

While checking the bulletin board for profitable jobs. I see this particular job to procure three canisters of Imperial Slaves for a quarter million credits. The only caveat was that they needed to be stolen. Being a member of the prestigious wing Pixel Bandits Security Force that weighed heavily on my character. I'm not going to compromise my integrity over any amount of credits. MaybeThen I started thinking of ways to justify this seemingly easy mission of slave procurement. I took the mission with hopes of just finding them floating in space the same way I have found Cryopods around wrecked ships. Well after two hours of cruising through a few systems and constant interdiction from system security forces for no reason since I was not wanted nor was I carrying any elicit cargo. I decided to try a new strategy.
The original plan for the day was to return to the compromised nav. beacon at LFT 1504 and continue to purge that system of all pirate scum. A fellow commander recommended that I install a cargo scanner to Big Bertha and that would help me find the stolen slaves. After some deliberation I decided to replace my chaff launcher with a cargo scanner and head out the that nav beacon at LFT 1504 and scan all pirates. Then relive them of any Imperial Slaves that they may have before I send them to the ether. I was planning on eliminating them anyway so I guess taking their slaves is ok....
I patrolled the nav beacon for over two hours and not a single pirate was holding slaves. I was able to collect three million credits in bounties but the slave mission was a bust. I'm not sure how other Commanders accomplish these missions that ask you to procure stolen products. I guess since integrity, honor, duty, loyalty, respect, and personal courage dictate my values these actions are beyond me.
I don't plan on quitting after just one sortie but I don't plan on making this my passion either. For now I plan on traveling to Alliance and Empire space to collect my bounties before the big cleanse that's coming next month.
