Another addition to the fleet, and a fond farewell

Earlier tonight I loaded up my trusty Asp Explorer, the Long Haul, and left Thome Gateway to head over to the Harm system.  I'd loaded her up with 110 tons of Consumer Electronics, and figured I'd turn at least a bit of a profit...but never imagined what would happen when I arrived.  The main station at Harm is Gentil Hub, a coriolis that has an interesting array of ships for sale. A few days ago this is where I bought the RDS Centurion, my Fed Dropship, and while I was there I'd noticed that the Imperial Clipper was also available.

Fast forward to tonight. I'd dropped off my cargo (and got far less than I'd expected...guess that teaches me to pay attention to the station names when checking trade routes out!), and decided to wander over to the shipyard to look at the Clipper again, since I knew I couldn't purchase it as a Master in the Empire. But its always nice to look...and that's when one of the salesmen came over and told me that with my rank the Clipper was now available for purchase! Something to do with all the Imperial Slaves I donated to her highness Arissa last weekend. So...after bringing up my financials on my personal pad, and checking out the values of my ship's components on the Long Haul, I decided that it was time. I stripped my ship down to the bone, sold her hull to the shipyard (hopefully the next owner will take good care of her...and if she dosn't sell in a few months maybe I'll come back and repurchase her), and cashed in on the Lady Sandra, a trade Clipper. She's a beautiful ship, although a bit larger than I'm used to, and quite fast despite her horrible component listings, but she's going to be a great ship for me to fly around, and just bask in the luxury of her accommodations. Quite the upgrade from the small ships I've flown til now, and the rough and ready bunks and living spaces aboard the Lakon designs I've primarily flown. I think I could get used to this!
