HyperLightyearing. Almost 3000 LY in one day.

Since my last logbook entry, I put 900-1000 LY between myself and Sol. I start today 7800 LY from Sol. I've found some unscanned systems with teraformable high metal planets. I haven't seen a commander's name on the system map in 800+ lightyears. But I guess that's what happens when you veer off to one side instead of going straight towards the core. My ship is at 98% hull after I charged up my frame shift drive inside a star yesterday without paying attention. I need to stop doing that. I've discovered 3 water worlds today so far today, numerous teraformable and non-teraformable high metal worlds, and in one system I even discovered 3 metal rich worlds in a row. I've been going for more than a few hours, and I've covered some 2500 LY so far. I'll soon be plotting my fourth course of the day since the Nav Computer can't handle a route more than 999 LY. I haven't seen a Commander's name on a system so far today, but most systems are devoid of anything interesting. The core is getting much brighter though...
I've stumble across a field of bright blue-white stars that makes the "path" of blue-white stars I found a few days ago look minuscule.
I've been running into systems with plenty of things to scan again. I wonder what the night on this waterworld I discovered is like... The sky must be so pretty:
This system will likely end up being a huge money maker. Every planet was high metal content, or metal rich, with the exception of a waterworld, and it took me around 10-15 minutes to scan the whole system. Systems like this are the reason I've slowed down in the last couple hours. I keep finding things worth detouring to scan.
Another few jumps, and another heap of high metal content and water worlds to scan. This planet looks like it belongs in my nightmares. It must be a harsh place to be.
I've discovered a system with a plethora of pretty planets to scan and fly by. This water world is in a binary orbit with the high metal content world behind it. The core is in the background. I feel like I'm getting so much closer, but I'm only roughly half way.
I've traveled ~2800 LY today and I've only had a couple light snacks. The hunger is getting to me. The food cartridges I brought with me just taste so boring. I'm going to reward myself today by trying to cook an actual meal with some of the real food I brought with me. I don't care what the information label on the side of food cartridges say, a woman cannot live on food cartridges alone.
I am 10,668 LY from Sol.
