Getting closer to the Core.

30 Sep 2015Meishel
I put another ~1500 LY between myself and Sol after my meal yesterday.  I start today 12,000 LY from Sol.
Today has been uneventful aside from the High Metal Content and sparse waterworlds I've discovered which are always good.  I just jumped into a pre-discovered system for the first time in ~4000+ LY.  I have a weird mix of disappointment and at the same time I'm almost happy to see some sign of another human even if it is just their Commander name on my map.  I don't think the scope of how far away I truly am has quite sunk in yet.

I know I say this a lot, but it's damn pretty out here.

I found a system with 2 stars very close to each other, and a 3rd within a couple hundred LS.  It looked pretty awesome.

When I went to make my last jump on my current 997LY route, I noticed just how dense the stars are getting.. Wow.  I didn't realize I'd see things like this.  It just continues to boggle my mind.

Not much has happened in the last hour or so.  A few scan-able planets here or there, but for the most part, a lot of empty/rocky systems not worth the time.  I've covered a lot of distance again today due to it.  So far I've covered 3200 LY today.  I'm stopping for now to cook a meal and rest my eyes.  I've been staring into too many stars whilst fuel scooping.  I need a break.

I end this log entry with a picture from a binary star system where the two stars are extremely close to each other:

I am 15,249 LY from Sol.
