Log 3 - Leg 2 01.14.3303

The good news is that I hit paydirt with the Military Grade Composites for the DBX.  Thanks to the folk that contribute to the supplies listing on Inara really helped me out in making my tank into a sort of dragon turtle for those "just in case" moments when the NPCs decide to try to gank me when I'm performing various salvage operations in the systems.

Surprisingly enough, in spite of the fact that I just sunk 1.8 million credits for the purchase at Chagobog, by the time I got back to the Federation's little bubble out there by Ceos/Sothis I still came out with a positive profit (390K at the time for my break during the second leg).

I also received my second Tip Off Mission in the Torno System.  The first one was accidentally deleted while I was running some courier work and was clearing out my "Critical Mission" messages so I had to wait for the next.

I tried out the simulator, but apparently I need to configure *MORE THAN I WANT TO* for being able to take my controls and use them on the ground.  I'll do that tomorrow morning maybe.  Maybe even tonight if I decide I want to take the bull by the horns.

At the moment, I'm rather miffed thinking that it's needless work for something that should use similar controls once the Joystick/HOTAS is plugged into the USB Port, but apparently it's something that wasn't entirely thought out when Horizons was pushed out the door.  Nor was it pushed with all the other client/server patching that was going on.  But then perhaps I expect too much as this sort of thing wouldn't happen in a business environment -- not without tons of repercussions.

For the time being, I'll enjoy a coffee from space looking down at the planet and thinking, I'll be down there soon enough.  Maybe once the caffeine does its magic.

P.S. Got down to Torno 3. Turned out it was an espionage mission involving the Local Torno Government. Bugged out and didn't do it. I will definitely be having a word with the devs at the utter foolishness of needless clandestine information piped to players in the form of lattitude/longitude coordinates when tha base in question is clearly marked on the planet once you get near to it.
Do you like it?
