Current System: Lasswitz Terminal - Mentor SystemIt's been more than 7 months since I've been back in the Bubble. Well actually flying my ship in the Bubble, anyway. The last couple of times is because I've left the piloting to more capable transport pilots and enjoyed the comforts of flying as a first class or economy class cabin. But now? Here I am in the cockpit of the Leif Eiriksson running various light haulage and data courier missions within the Federation so that I can work more on my trade ranks within the Pilot's Guild.
The pay isn't the same as doing Deep Space Surveying, that's for sure. Neither is it anything like stretching the mathematical legs as I work out the various astrophysics formulas of system formations. But at least I'm able to work on my reputations with the Feds further as well as the millions of local factions within the area.
At the same time though, I can tell my confidence in being in the Bubble is a lot better than when I cleared out for the Deep Black after getting my Pilot's Licence. I might have a bit of trouble landing at installations within a gravity well, but it's not like when I tried it 7 months prior. Funny that. I don't routinely do landings on any of the planets I survey; mostly because there's been little of interest to check out in the SRV. I still have one loaded just in case, but to date I've yet to use it. But it's not like the difficulties I used to have back at the beginning of my career. Nope, not at all.
I'm not sure how long I'm going to be staying in the bubble working the hauling and data courier runs, but for as long as it doesn't go crazy with the pirating and interdictions I might stick around a bit longer this time than normal.
The other good news is that I was able to obtain my system permit to Sirius. This means that I have access to Marcus Quent as well. While I'm unsure about the work that he does, I'll be sure to check him out when the chance permits.
Yeah... I got tired of it... Like I always do... So it's back to Newholm Station, changing my modules and back to the Deep Black. Only because I'm tired of civilization. Well that and the pay's better just scanning things.
