Entry 37 - 05.14.3303

14 May 2017MBaldelli
Current System:  Synuefai RF-A b19-0

Day: 3

Another day in the Deep Black, and many more light years closer to the Elephant's Trunk Nebula.  While I might be thinking about making a visit to that stellar nursery, I know from experience it's more of a touristy spot for the novice explorer wanting to say, "I've been there!" I've never liked the tourist spots when I was on my homeword, instead used to love to check out the local's places to get a feeling of the life of the area.  After all, you can get a better picture of local life from the local life instead of the places trounced by visitors that know no better.

I've been having a bit of correspondences with some of the other freelancer commanders that're both in and out of the bubble.  One of them a recruit that hasn't gotten out of Flight School that's suffering from the typical overload that comes from learning the new systems of the ships.  I might have to head back to the bubble and assist him with completing his flight school before he gets out into the Bubble and attempts to get himself killed.

There's another that's considering joining Flight School to give a go to the weird, wacky and wonderful universe and all it has to offer.

The third one's already graduated and is well on his way to purchasing a Type-9 Heavy for the ultimate in Space Trucking Experience.  Seems that he has the patience and the determination when it comes to getting what he's aiming for; although I have the typical reservations that come from seeing such veracity in pilots aiming for something that comes with credits.  I've seen too many good pilots burn out and head home instead of sticking to their dreams and being part of the minority that stay out here in the Black: both in and out of the Bubble.

Seems that while yesterday was an awesome day for surveying, today I seem to be hitting a bit of a dry spell as I've encountered partially and even completed system surveys in the Syneufai Sector.  The most prominent of them had to be Commander Tushky.  Good to see some other commanders doing the completions on system surveys; makes me feel a little less of the loner when it comes to the dedication.

I think that when I get back, I'll make sure my name stays on the correspondence lists for the Guild if only because such mail passes the time as I survey through unkown and partially known systems.  At least the good thing is that it passes the time imparting what little wisdom I've picked up along the way.
Do you like it?
