Current System: KhunI made a quick rush back to the Little Bubble of Sothis/Ceos because I had received a message from one of the pilots I had been corresponding with that indicated he was having problems understanding the subtleties of the loaned Sidey that he was given after graduation followed shortly while en route to Newholm Station that he had lost all power and had to self-destruct in someone unknown system. I didn't get the telemetry where he was in the bubble but halfway back to Sothis, I received a signal from a rescue ship that he had been recovered and that he was back to Eravate to get himself another loaner.
I'm not sure what the malfunction was; but I'm fairly certain it was pilot error. Given how gung-ho he was about doing Bounty Hunting, I think he might have not listened to the Flight Instructors about getting familiar with the controls of the ship and how things operate here in the Black before seeking out the thrills of Bounty Hunting.
At the moment I'm on standby doing some of the lighter Data Courier work between the three stations in the Little Bubble as I wait for confirmation when this Greenie has acquired a new Sidey and is wanting to learn what he probably ignored from the Flight Instructors while he was in the Academy. I swear sometimes, they get greener and greener with each graduating class.
Also getting home from the Deep Black I was greeted with a 10 million+ paycheck for the amount of surveying I had performed as well as a promotion in the Pilot's Guild to Ranger in the Exploration field. As I'm making my run back to Newholm Station I think I'll get the rank insignia on the Leif Eiriksson changed appropriately.
