Current System: I only just recently noticed that the current vector I've been taking on this surveying run has been surprising devoid of Gas Giants. While I did come across a handful of systems that did have a cluster of them --- a good majority of this leg has been rocky and ice masses. Pretty surprising given that I thought many of the KGB-FOAM systems that have been surveyed in the last 9 months had to have at least 1 - 3 Gas Giants somewhere in them. And depending on the leg I was running -- lots more.
As it stands looking at the star chart, I'm currently under 20 jumps to reaching the end of this leg. Which direction I go from here... Well, I think I'll let the decisions be made based on coin tosses. It's not as though I'm going to be running into too many other Commanders out in this neck of the woods. They've either headed towards Colonia because the masses have herded in that direction, or maintaining the trade routes within the Bubble. I might get around to doing that the next time I mosey back into Civilization, but until then there's always the Deep Black.
Well, it's time to get back to "work". While there might not have been any Terraformable Planets and no Earth-likes during this mission; there have been a metric butt-ton of HMCs instead and that sort of pay out should be more than enought to make up for the lack of Earth-Likes.
I can't wait until I roll into civilization to see what that payout's going to be like.
