Current System: Synuefai MQ-Y c3-1While doing surveying on the next leg of the mission, I had discovered further the reasons for Operation: Sirius Business. Seems that Marco Qwent was one of the few Engineers that held out on removing the commodities requirements for his services since about the time of the first Thargoid Encounters back at the beginning of the year. In fact, it's been also said he was the single influencial reason for engineers requiring commodities trades for their services. The Pilot's Guild has authorized the Blockades of Ceos and Sothis -- which are considered the biggest assets of the Sirius Corporation -- I find myself rather surprised that the pilots within the Guild didn't authorize this sort of thing sooner. It feels as though we pilots are once again the pawns of the whims of the powers that be within human civilization. And while I do continue to support the reasons for the blockade, like the cautious pilot that I can be, prefer to stay out of the passions and whims of people manipulating others for their own benefit.
In the meantime, I'm going to be continuing this leg of the surveying through to the Oochos Sector before I once again make my decision to heading back to the bubble for a payout. As it stands, I have Abraham Lincoln Station in Sol in my home-route plot although that might be subject to change as accouncements for the next systems update is supposed to be occuring much sooner than I realized. Whether I will be going home to Newholm Station remains to be seen, but that's how things play out when pilots are mere pawns, huh?
Funny the events that go on during my writing in my log, Synuefai JD-Z d1-17 C 6 -- part of a string of HMCs in a system that was cherry picked from the entry star -- is my first Terraformable Candidate on this leg of the trip. This area might not be as rich as Vela Dark Sector for Earth-Likes and Terraformable Planets, it seems to be dirtier with asteroid belts and vacant of Gas Giants so overall, it's a good area for the miners wanting easy pickings.
And with that... Time for me to do my job.
