Current System: G 239-25, Bresnik Mine

I spent a week on Earth, checking the various touristy attractions that I could: New York City, Paris, London, Saint Petersburg and of course the area where my family is said to be from: New England. While I was not able to find the ancestral home of my family, I did come across some information on them from the state records there and was able to at least visit some of the areas where the graves had been. They had long since been removed thanks to the fact that property areas were of a higher priority than burying people in the ground like they used to do back before the 22nd centuries.

Getting back to Abraham Lincoln Station after my rather whirlwind tour of the areas, I had come in contact with a rather lackadaisical pilot that tried to convince me to change my profession from Deep Space Explorer to Taxi Driver.

I admit that I was looking for a change of pace given that there's only just so much cargo hauling I like doing for a couple of weeks before I head back out to the Deep Black and given the fact that the Leif Eiriksson is considered a multi-role craft, I discovered that Abraham Lincoln has the necessary modules for performing Business Class passenger missions. And the modules are considered as cheap as picking up cargo racks.

While the pay is significantly better than some of the low-tonnage hauling runs, at the time I was doing pre-flight checks and contacting Acquisition for the modules, I noticed that many of the passengers that were queued for run were all what I call "high maintenance" sort of business people.

Uh... Nope not this run. Instead I had my cargo racks transferred from Newholm Station to Abraham Lincoln and decided to bide my time until their arrival by traveling out to various stations in the area to A-grade a majority of the components I didn't get done months ago. About the only component I haven't upgraded to A-level is the shield array as they have been engineered the last time I was in the area and not quite in the mood to throw that out any time in the near future.

One of the systems I was able to scan and run through was in fact Sirius; and as promised the player base there has kept their promises on Operation: Sirius Business as the system is currently in lock-down. So, until that Pilot Action is completed I'm going to be staying to Sol before heading back to Newholm.

Maintaining my "tradition" of performing shipping/haulage before heading out to the Deep Black, my last run of the day was being the Party Boat of transporting 16 tons of liquor to the various forums and Bresnik Mine in G 239-25. Fun times that were too, as all three locations I was delivering to were attempting to offer a pittance delivery bonus at the same time all within 4 minutes of arriving into the system. Two of the forums were within 400 KM of each other and planet side, there was no way in hell I was going to be rushing headlong into a gravity well to deliver -- so I ignored the bonuses, took advantage of the ease of all three locations within 500 KM of each other and cashed in a couple hundred thousand credits in the process.

Tomorrow (or the next day), I'm going to head back to Sol and see if the queue for passenger missions has gotten any better and if so, I'll place the order for the modules and give it a try for a little bit (before stocking up for my next Deep Space Mission). Until then perhaps I'm going to enjoy the company of miners here at Bresnik.
