Seems that this leg of the survey mission, it took only 950 or so LY to finally start seeing star systems that were incomplete to completely unexplored by other commanders.  I thought that I was aiming for lower than the horizon, but it seems that it might not have occurred.  About the only good thing that I have to say about the survey mission so far has been the fact that I'm rather impressed that all the systems I had cut through so far had bee completely scanned:  from star to last planet.  Pretty impressive given that I was seeing more of when I was heading toward Vela Dark Sector and the Formidine Rift.  I think during my off-time I should check to see what tourist spot was in this direction given the thoroughness of the scans that had been performed.

Well, looking at the maps, it would appear that I'm within easy traveling distance of several tourist spots: NGC-1039, Alessia's Pearls and was on my way to IC-289 (before I changed course and headed further down and southerly from my last point on the leg), which would explain the amount of surveying performed in this direction.

I still feel pretty dirty performing survey scans on planets that had already been scanned, but at least I'm getting more used to it. Hopefully, it'll definitely show as a better payout when I return home.
