Current System: Synuefai OC-K a8-1I was suffering from a bit of insomnia last night and did a bit more surveying through that time. Fortunately for me, sleep caught me faster than I thought possible and fell asleep in the Pilot's Chair. This morning, I'm back at it and rather refreshed all things given.
I was informed early this morning that the crew of the downed viper had been retrieved and incarcerated. While there will be no reward for the capture or the information as to their whereabouts, there was the perfunctory thank you from the commander of the retrieval ship for a job well done.
Yay me.
I was also able to determine the issues with my FSD and the heat build up and dissipation; it's actually following a pattern which lasts through the course of several jumps instead of just one. Now that I was able to see the pattern and then attach the diagnostic equipment to it resetting the parameters based on that pattern, I can happily say that I'm more at ease with the hotter than usual performance since seeing Farseer. I might not be happy with the smaller margin of heat that I have to play with; at least I'm not feeling as though I'm going to be doing serious damage to the ship in the process.
I think after I'm through with this star system, I'm going to change my parameter from an economical survey to fastest as I'm getting rather tired of all the double dipping I've done the last week. I feel like I'm missing out on the unique surveying I used to do in the past. Sure they were nothing more than rock and rubble, but at least they all have my name on them.
After a quick bite to eat and a quicker down-time turned into a power nap, I'm proud to say that I finally got to the bookmark of the last trip I made into the Deep Black: Synuefai OC-K a8-1. According to navigation I am 1,016 LY from Sol. According to my odometer; I have currently traveled 20,097.67 LY since installing it.
I have positively no idea which direction I want to travel. I am within a stone's throw of the Formidine Rift. I could continue my Deep Space Exploration of Vela Dark Sector. I can go to darker sectors within this area of the Milky Way. I guess I'll just let the fates decide for me.
