Current System: Farseer Inc, DeciatI bought the Viper MK IV last night. Christened the ship too.. The Go Rin no Sho; after all, I'm also attempting to master ship combat and it didn't seem appropriate to be choosing a name that never lost in duels. Heh, I'm far from that standing, believe me.
I'm currrently en route to San to continue building out the the Go Rin no Sho because New Holm Station lacked all the parts. The only problem is that because of the difficulty to getting to and from Ceos/Sothis, I'm needing to fly ahead in the Zheng He and then getting the ship transferred to Selhous Horizons because the current jump engines (and Fuel Scoop) lack the distances necessary for long-distance travel. Something I'm definitely going to need to work on with Farseer.
I'm currently taking the "Sunday Drive" by double dippings with the planets that have already been first discovered (except by me). It'll be an easy couple of million: more than necessary for more rebuys as I continue my pilgrimage toward getting better in combat scenarios.
I know the MK IV isn't as agile as say the MK III or the Eagle line of fighters (or even the Vulture), but at the same time I'm not really well known for being the YOLO-Seat-of-the-Pants-20-something pilot. Even when I was 20-something I always fought with caution and as much precision I could muster.
At San, I started the transfer order for the Go Rin to arrive there in an hour and while waiting for that transfer to complete, I'm going to be doing a little cargo hauling in the meantime. Hopefully I won't end up with any bottom feeders trying to inderdict me for the LOLs of it. At least the good thing is that the two hauling missions are near enough to each other; a stroke of luck given I was looking to fill the time more than for the efficiency.
I have a few runs to make... Farseer first for the FSD... Then to Qwent next for the Power Supply and Capacitor and finally to Martuuk for the Thrusters. But after all this flying and scanning and a couple of USS, I think I'm going to sit down and have lunch with Farseer. Brought it in with me from San. After all, nothing like having a meal with someone just as bloody-minded as I can be.
