Entry 97 - 09.29.3303

Current System:  Margulis Station, LTT 5013

Crawling back into the cockpit of the Go Rin, I realized that Ford Dock wasn't able to fix some of the structural damage I had been inflicted with when trying to take out the smaller fighters while tackling the Python that was lumbering through the area, so I plotted a course back to Crook Port to get that hammered out.

While there and the Dock Workers fixed the hull issues with the ship, I noticed on the mission board now has a new contact point:  The Pilot's Guild.  Apparently it's there that all salvaging that's done for destroyed ships -- be it collected data or occupied escape pods, or even any materials -- are to be handed in.

Checking this out, I went to the Pilot's Guild Wing to find not only an increase of personnel, but the Captain that's normally working on handing out pips, pins and badges taking count of the requests coming in from Commanders that have successfully salvaged materials from downed ships.

And she was not looking at all happy about the added work.

So the Pilot Guild's leisure days are over I thought to myself.

No pity there, believe me.

That lack of activity made them crotchety and dour even when they had the opportunity to handing out promotions.  Now they have more things to keep them busy with.

Packed up my things and the first thing I went to see was Warinus Station. Apparently I've been to the Lave system before as the honk into the system indicates that there was nothing new to scan. I might have gone to Lave of Castellan Stations as those names seem vaguely familiar to me. Warinus Station was certainly interesting.. Nothing like feeling you're landing on a planet while in an asteroid though.

After that, it was off to checking out LTT 5013 as a candidate for the Wing I'm flying with... The system is simple and no-nonsense. First planet is a Metal Rich by the looks of it, with the remaining planets gas giants... Plenty of moons to land on for surface mining around a couple of the gas giants.

Margulis Station is about 2,300 LY from the entry point which means that surprise attacks won't be happening with ships coming out of witch-space. McNair and Kozeyev are farther out and more remote. All in all, it's a simple enough to take over and simpler to defend with a small force.

Tomorrow, I'm off to check out Tjindjin.

Right now though it's time to check out the local amenities at Margulis. I want to ask around to find out what people think of things there.
Do you like it?
