Entry 114 - 11.24.3303

Current Location: Ceos, New Dawn StationDay Three and so far Masters hasn't called in his favour. I'm not entirely sure whether this is a good thing or a bad thing, but will count is as good as I'm sure he'll probably be sending me off to something incredibly difficult and time consuming.
In fact if anything Hahn has been the one that has been pushing salvage missions on me in the Sothis system more than usual. It seems to be for some sort of need for brownie points for him with the Sirius Corporation Office at New Dawn. I shouldn't mind -- it's usually a break in the courier run missions that I typically do between New Dawn and Newholm Stations.
But there's something nagging me in the back of my mind that something's been going on with some of the cargo runs. Especially when you consider the cargo hauler I'm currently zooming to is around an HMC on the third star. Eh, I shouldn't be over-thinking it really; it's an easy half a million credits per run.
I see the typical We Brake for Noone attitude is still held with the Beluga Commanders. I was making my approach to New Dawn when I saw this Beluga pilot was completely ignoring the greens on his way out causing an ASPS Commander to wet his flight suit.
The Asp Commander got around him in time as the Beluga Commander then rammed his ship but good into the Toaster Grill on the outside of the Mail Slot.
Backed up and got jammed into the Toaster Grill.
Went forward and did it again.
On the third attempt, shield were completely obliterated and all he was doing was causing hull damage each time he backed up and went forward.
He blew up on the fourth reverse.
I involuntarily scissored my legs because I knew that was going to be a hell of a rebuy for that mistake.
At least it didn't happen to me as I was entering the mail slot. *touch wood*
Also thanks to all these Salvage runs, I'm that much closer to my Elite Pins for Exploration. Looking over at my Information Panel, it's saying I'm at 98% Pioneer thanks to all these planets within Ceos/Sothis I've been scanning for finding the missing ships. Who knows? Maybe I'll be getting the pins from the replacement Pilot's Guild Officer in Sothis.
At Newholm Station I saw that I was eligible for my promotion to Ensign., I stopped by Hahn's and Masters' Offices.
Hahn was surprised that I was able to get the necessary influence in three days (he didn't realize that I was already well on my way to getting to the rank long before coming back to Ceos/Sothis. He smiled in that creepy way of his and signed off on the necessary endorsement document for when I finish up the promotion missions.
Masters wasn't in his office. His administrator was. She gave me a meek smile and simply handed over the documents based on Masters' instructions.
"Good Luck," she said in passing as I was going back to the Docks.
"Thank you," I returned over my shoulder.
Off to Aasgananu was my next stop.
