Trade Day - Logbook Entry #08

23 Jan 2017Maschil_Crane
Today was a rather eventful day of trading. I started of in George Lucas station and picked up a couple of tasks from the mission board in the local Assignment Office.

One of them was to deliver 9 pieces of survival equipment to a place called Arkwright Base in a system named Ejagalki, that's a mouthful. I had to purchase cartographic data from Hudson Settlement to even find the place. The other was to deliver deliver 3 units of polymer to Guin Survey, Orrere. Both of these went by rather smoothly. Well, not entirely, but it ended up working out. I got a little turned around with my nav panel and accidentally stopped in a place called Adkins Terminal in the Gurney Slade system. I figured I may as well not let the stop be a complete waste & see what I could turn up at the assignment office. To my great fortune there was an emergency order of 4 pallets of clothing that needed delivering to, you wouldnt guess it, Guin Survey. The same place the polymer needed to go and they were paying over 100k CR to the one that made the delivery. Lucky me huh? I dont believe in luck. What are the chance of that lining up so perfectly? It blow my mind how people can deny that all of this is happening by design.

While at Arkwright Base I picked up something from the mission board requiring, this time, 4 units of polymer to be delivered also to Orrere. A place called Sharon Lee Market.

I used my warrant scanner to claim a few bounties before I headed back to George Lucas. Once I got back I contacted the realtor I had been talking to. I was able to close the deal on a nice little condo in the habitation complex. Only 700k CR. Not bad I'd say. Who woulda thought Id be owning a place that belonged all to me. Life sure is good. Im starting to miss home less and less out here.

After a nice nap I decided to go on a little recreational journey. I found myself in a place called Onufriyenko Terminal in Heheng System. They had a very nice selection of class A modules for all sorts of ships and a bunch of nice ships at the shipyard. I might come back here when Im looking for some upgrades for the Cultivated Crane. Other than that it was a nice little place. The people were mostly olive or brown skinned and everyone seemed very hospitable. I enjoyed myself. I wouldnt mind having a place here. Aha. Look at me, not only having a place of my own, but already considering buying a vacation home. I decided to stop by the pub, a place called "The Wall." While I was there I found myself in a conversation with an older gentleman. He told me that the nearby Lave system was actually home of the first ever recorded Thargoid contact. That was pretty interesting I thought. So, on my way headed back to home I decided to stop by the tourist beacon and check it out... Nothing special to be honest and I still dont want anything to do with the Thargoids. I actually got a sick feeling in my stomach when I got there. I dont really know what even compelled me to go.

So, Im back at home now. Im really comfortable here. I've got the basics of furniture covered as far as a bed, display terminal, VR computer console, and things like that, but tomorrow I think I'll hand out & look for some knick knacks to really make the place my own. Maybe I'll just move mom out this way. Im sure she wouldnt mind gettin out of there...

CMDR Crane out.
