Two Sides of One Coin [Lilith - Part 3]

Lilith sat waiting. She'd tagged the ship that sent the message as it flew away from the sun and was about to interdict it, but she'd spotted a wing of four vessels following the same trajectory. She was a good pilot, but she wasn't stupid. Single handedly taking on 5 ships at once was suicide, particularly if one of those vessels was a large one, like the Imperial Cutter following her target.Instead, she'd opted to turn towards a Signal Source, hoping they hadn't noticed her and just took her to be a run of the mill pilot. Apparently it worked since the Asp dropped out, quickly followed by the three Imperial Couriers. She made sure to lock onto the Wake Signature of the Asp before slowing her ship down as the Imperial Cutter also dropped off her sensors.
So now all she had to do was sit and wait to see who re-appeared first. If it was the Asp, she'd have to tail it for a short while to make sure it was alone before she struck. However if the Cutter and it's friends appeared first, she might just have enough time to drop in on the Asp and Mass Lock it before it re-entered Supercruise, or at the very least catch it High Waking to another system before following the trail and Interdicting it at the first opportunity.
What she would do with the poor sod was entirely up to him. The Asp had a CMDR name, which meant he was Pilots Federation, not Imperial. But, he clearly was an ally, or has allies, within the Empire. Of course, she also had to make sure he wouldn't inform Macruik she was searching for him. There was really only one way to guarantee that. So she decided, if he played ball, she'd make it quick, otherwise blasting his Power Generator apart, followed by the Life Support and Canopy seemed like a suitable punishment.
Her course of action had just been decided when four Supercruise Signatures appeared on her scanner. Three Couriers, one Cutter. Now was her chance, she gently accelerated towards the Low Wake Signature of the Asp and the instant she was in range she engaged the safe drop out.
Upon entering she deployed her weapons and circled round to the front of the ship. Seeing his shields were low her lips curled up into a grin. *Easy prey, and he'll know it.* She typed out a message as fast as she could and sent it to the Pilot, whose confusion she could now see quite clearly through the large glass canopy of the Asp.
Don't touch anything else, or I open fire. I want everything you have on Earl Macruik
