Chaos at Citi Gateway: An Overview [Lilith - Part 5]

Despite Isaiahs constant assurances that the only people aboard were them two, and technically Bloodfeather, Lilith kept her hand hovering over her unclipped gun holster, and checked every nook, cranny and corner as they made their way to the Fer-De-Lances cockpit. Of course, Isaiah couldn't help himself but to impart more words of wisdom concerning her lifestyle, which she ignored and instead commented on the fact that the ship was far too specialised for her style. Something that Isaiah apparently heard a lot.Once they'd reached the cockpit, Lilith positioned herself at the hatch so she would see first hand if anyone else tried to sneak up on them. But Bloodfeather began talking again, which set her a little more at ease. Not fully, but enough to start joking around about getting some dirty secrets about Isaiahs personal life. Something Bloodfeather seemed more than happy to oblige had Isaiah not interrupted and put a stop to it, whether out of embarrassment or another reason altogether remained unclear, but it did put a smile on Liliths face regardless. Bloodfeather was even kind enough to find out that Liliths ship was now undergoing the repairs, although the timescale for completion remained a mystery.
Once that was cleared up, conversation turned swiftly towards a plan of action concerning Glaboski. Isaiahs suggestion was to use a fake, or replica data chip to show evidence of capture and lure him aboard the ship. All he asked was that, no matter what she did, Lilith keep the bloodshed to a minimum. Apparently he couldn't be bothered with the cleaning. More frighteningly, Bloodfeather chimed in suggesting the use of the cargo bay, at first with the thought that the cleanup would be easier. But then adding that there was equipment there that, with imagination, could be of some use. She'd be lying to herself if Lilith had claimed not to entertain the idea, however she begrudgingly conceded that, as he was in fact a damned good surgeon, it would only punish the public if she killed him. So she intended simply to inform him of the fact that he wasn't untouchable.
In the meantime, Isaiah composed and sent a message to the Doctor that Lilith was in his custody and the data chip in his possession. While Lilith asked Bloodfeather to keep quiet once he arrived. Intending to use her as backup should things go sideways. All parties here were hit with a sense of trepidation, assuming Bloodfeather was capable of emotions, she was certainly fluent in sarcasm anyway, and as a result Isaiah tried once again to establish he was on Liliths side. A sentiment that was appreciated, but ultimately unhelpful. With that, he led her to the guest quarters to await the Docs arrival. As one last gesture of good will, he even told her the four digit door code, 4845, to let herself out if she got suspicious.
Taking a seat in the quarters set her imagination running again though. With that all important question on her mind. She'd been unconscious for some time, and obviously completely unaware of his touch, beyond a strange memory/dream that could be attributed to her brain making sense of the sensations. It was a simple question, but one that tortured her nonetheless. In a way that she'd never endured before, that both sickened her and set a fire in her heart.
How far did his perversive behaviour go while she lay unconscious?
No sooner had she asked for one, a drink of water was placed in her hands. Earlier, they had been arm in arm, but at this moment she felt close to Isaiah. It was a simple act of kindness, but given the circumstances anything was better than nothing. She sipped from the bottle then set it aside and closed her eyes and buried her face in her hands. Instructing him to hide one of his surveillance drones so she wouldn't know where it was. Easier to pretend she didn't know where it was if she genuinely didn't. However Glaboski had other plans, and in one response, their carefully laid plan was derailed faster than a fast moving train taking a sharp bend.
"He doesn't want to meet. He wants you to be put into a stasis pod and he wants to meet me at a night club." Isaiah said simply.
Lilith tried, she really tried, to keep her emotions in check, but that one sentence opened the floodgates to all the emotions she'd bottled up. Wanting to cry, swear, throw things, shout, even throw up, these emotions simply came out as ramblings. She refused under any circumstances to get into a stasis pod, even going so far as to suggest the only way it would happen was to have her cracked over the skull with something hard. It actually annoyed her more that Isaiah appeared to only mildly perturbed by this turn of events.
She paced the room fervently, wracking her brains in an attempt to come up with something else, all manner of ideas scrambling through her head. In the end she concluded, desperately, that he ought to try informing the Doctor that she was aboard the ship under false pretences. That he'd have to get physical to get her into the pod. Clicking his fingers in agreement, Isaiah then fired off a message saying he could convince Lilith to go clubbing, where the exchange could take place.
Unfortunately, He didn't take the bait, and time was running out fast, so Isaiah concluded they needed backup.
Making their way back to the cockpit, he sent out a K-Cast to Cait, his partner in more ways than one as Lilith found out going by the very personal turn the conversation took. Leaving her stood at the back trying to distract herself by scuffing her boot on the floor. Something that Isaiah noticed after concluding Cait was on her way, and apologised for. But then the conversation took a different turn. They had to convince the medics that were coming with the pod that Lilith had escaped. Unsurprisingly to Lilith, Isaihs first conclusion was to simply thump him in the face. Her response was that while it may relieve some stress, it might just be easier to use ice, water and some torn clothing instead. Something Isaiah was definitely grateful for as they made their way to the cargo bay, grabbing the necessary things along the way. Including an earpiece that Lilith could use to contact Bloodfeather.
It wouldn't be long now before the medics arrived, Cait was on her way too but it was obvious who would arrive first.

Authors Note: Part five of Liliths visit to Citi Gateway. We rejoin her here as her and Isaiah have reached his ship, the Bloodfeather, and they're about to climb aboard. Despite Isaiah genuinely trying to be helpful however, Lilith is staying on guard. Especially as she is entering the ship of a man who was basically a complete stranger to her, and would have gladly turned her in to boost his bank account.
