Its it too late?

i watch as thousands of pilots hand in combat bonds from destroying thargoids and wonder if its too late to turn this all around. if only we could have helped the thargoids or maybe try to communicate with them instead of attacking them. i think of the knowledge we could have shared,the technology we could have created. the thargoids are not entirely wrong by there actions in the recent years given the overly hostile actions of the galactic community. the federation and the empire had all of this coming for the war crimes they have committed. when the thargoids returned they gave us a chance by not shooting at us civilians. the thargoids recognized the civilians innocence but we ruined that, now hundreds of thousands of innocent lives have been lost because some thought the best way to talk is with bullets lasers. i don't believe it is too late to turn things around, i believe we can still find peace between our two species. lets not squander what is our first and may be our only inter species relationship.
