DW II | En route to the Lagoon

Commander Lansing is occupied with affairs on Cycladia. Tal is assisting him in order to speed things up - but I've grown restless with waiting, so I've set off in to the black alone. And it's been an eventful day.
Advance scouts for the fleet had reported some interesting mineral cloud formations in the Smojue sector. I've seen plenty of geysers at this point, but this was different, if almost serene. I took the opportunity to stretch my legs, and re-familiarize myself with one of the two SRVs we have onboard. There were some interesting crystalline formations on the surface of 9 B that I'd never encountered before, so I collected some samples before putting together a rather lonely meal at the helm.
I was going to stop here, but a glance at the map revealed that Thor's Eye was a stone's throw away. I'd never been, and there was an asteroid base not much further than that. That nagging feeling to push it just a bit further...
I picked up a frequency in between hops. An apparent rebroadcast of an old radio frequency that self-described as Echoes from Blue Mars. Music, and it's kept great company. Not clear who's responsible for it, or what happened to the original transmission. I tend to lose track of these things, so I've attached it to this log.
Thor was quite a sight. If you've never spent time near a black hole, you might be surprised at how visually elusive they are until you're up close. Then they become more obvious, acting as a lens of chaos.
What's happening to me? I haven't had a bitter thought all day.
It's late, and I've arrived at the asteroid base. Attenborough's Watch, named after a chap from the homeworld. The structure isn't much, deeply embedded in to the core of a giant fucking rock. Cleverly hidden, or horribly underfunded. You choose. I just hope they have a bar.
