DW II | Norma Arm

I've found myself alone, having lost communication with Commanders Akira and Lansing. I'm taking the opportunity to press on, but my internal monologue has not been kind on the subject.
I'm not too worried about Tal - she's always been a fierce, independent type. But Damian's disappearance is cause for concern. Our last rendezvous, at Eudaemon Anchorage, was well over a week ago... and it had been tense. I just hope our lack of contact is related to that, and not something more troubling.
At the very least, this week has been one of exciting discoveries.
STRAYLIGHT SYSTEMS

DESTINATION: Blaa Phoe NC-D D12-230 (Death Spiral)
ORIGIN: Natural Phenomenon

We've discovered scores of uncharted new systems on this journey so far, but this marks the first time we've uncovered a never-explored neutron star. Merely 152 light years from the Death Spiral, and accompanied by a scoopable red dwarf, it should serve the brave commanders of the neutron highway well in the coming days - Distant Worlds Command has marked the Death Spiral as an important POI on the route to Waypoint 5.
On the way here we witnessed a truly spectacular sight known simply as The Crux. Nuekuae AA-A h52 is the home of two pulsars in a binary pairing. A third pulsar is located in very tight orbit to the pair. The sight itself is a religious experience.
We also discovered and mapped a terraformable water world, lonely orbiting a neutron star.
We've landed at Blaa Phoe GB-F d11-113 A 1 to rest, capture some additional imagery of our newly discovered pit stop, and make some repairs to the ship's frame shift drive. A small base camp at the edge of a large crater has been established, and an ethereal fog seems to be rolling in over the horizon.
Tomorrow we'll make the boosted jump to the Death Spiral. Whether or not we survive that experience, well... time will tell.
