CMDR Log #3 1.2.3303: ASP Pinball

Still wanted at LTT 7548 thanks to the illegal passenger I carried last log, should probably move to another system but a passenger mission comes up which I can not turn down, a sight seeing adventure to three different places (658ly round trip) for nearly 4 million credits! Being as tight as I am on money at the moment I could hardly turn it down! Installed a 5B FSD with the money left over and swapped a passenger bay for extra fuel seeing as it was unoccupied, fueled up and headed out. Trip went very smooth no interdictions, no pirates, no feds even had time to stop at one of the glacier sights for a spin in my SRV and take some pics, began heading back to LTT 7548 to complete the mission.
As I approach the station I set of my chaff launcher and wait to engage silent running to avoid scanning (still wanted in the system) I blast through the barrier at full throttle when I suddenly realised I have no control of the ship due to a technical difficultie with my joystick (driver crashed) I am now heading for the end of the station at 260. My joystick starts responding just as I'm about to ping off the back wall and begin to bounce around the station like a pinball, I managed to throttle down to a stop and turn silent running off, I survived with 10%.
The hull took all the brunt of the impact as my shields were offline, lucky to be alive but I failed my mission due to the massive impact so there was 2 hours and 4 million credits down the drain, I let out a cry of frustration.
I shrugg of the anger and disappointment and move over to LP 811-17 to do some closer to home passenger missions for some easy bank so I don't end up bankrupt if I lose my ship, even had time to take my SRV down into a deep crator to take some pics to cool down before heading back to LP 811-17 and calling it a night.
