Exploration Log #2

Covered the 10,375 LY to NGC 3199 at last - feels like I've been travelling for years. This puts me 15,000 LY from home; by far the furthest I've been, but that feels small compared to the 25,000 LY spent travelling the total route. I'm feeling a bit of exploration fatigue - most of the systems I've encountered have contained fairly insignificant discoveries; though there was this one system with 15 high metal worlds.I've been contemplating whether or not to take a straight shot back to the bubble, or to wind my way through less-travelled space to see if there's anything interesting.
There's also a third option - the area of the galaxy that I've been making my way through has passed volumes that are lower in stellar density as I cross the spiral arms - most of the stars here are red dwarves. However, I could aim for nebula NGC 6357 before turning back in towards the bubble. I would encounter far more stars on the route as it's closer to the core, and with more stars there is increased variation. Hell, what's another 15,000 LY out of my way?
