Exploration Log #5

Well, that settles it. In 50,000 LY, hundreds of systems and almost 4 days of travel, I discovered data worth around 125m Cr. Not bad, I thought.
Then, on a whim, I took a brief jaunt - 2700 LY upwards from the bubble, and perused maybe a dozen systems; mostly type F stars; and came back - all in all, about 4 hours of travel - I just turned in the data for 52m Cr.

Long distance, target-oriented travel, predominantly via neutron stars is effectively useless for valuable data. It's all been done before a thousand times.
The galaxy is big enough that here, essentially in our own backyard, there's fair better spoils to be had simply by being a little unconventional.

It was a short trip, but there was a moment of brief concern - I stumbled onto a neutron star high up above the galactic plane, and had the ability to travel even further out - to a prime candidate system for potential bounty - alas, I might have been stranded there for good had I made the trip. Instead I turned back down towards the bubble and went home.
