I have officially made some first discoveries. In Messier 78 Sector XE-Z C6, several "scrap" pLanetary bodies were not registering on my system chart as having a discovery pinned to them. The system as a whole, and several of its bodies, had been discovered but the founding commander didn't bother with scanning everything I guess. So, thank you CMDR Chutneyferret for the leftover scraps.

I am happy with any first discovery, especially on my first exploration trip. I will probably be here for a while collecting and logging all the data. As I mentioned in my last entry, any true new discoveries I make I will be thorough with and spend a lot of time going through the data.

High Metal Content World:
- B1: Carbon Dioxide atmo. 0.1 Earth mass. 3289 km radius. 0.5g. 251K surface temp. 0.18 atmo pressure. 67% Rock, 33 % metal. 204d orbit, 0.7d rotation.
- B2: Nitrogen atmo. 0.15 Earth mass. 3389km radius. 0.53g. 145K surface temp. 1.27 atmo pressure. 67% Rock, 33 % metal. 479d orbit, 1.3d rotation

Icy Body:
- B3: Argon rich atmo, 0.5 Earth radius, 6295km radius, water magma volcanism.
  - B3A: No atmosphere - landable body. 0.01 Earth mass. 2383km radius. 0.14g. 85K surface temp. 88% ice, 10% Rock, 2% metal. 111.5d orbit period. 2.5d rotation period. Probable minerals present: Sulphur, carbon, phosphorous, iron, nickel, chromium, manganese, arsenic, cadmium, niobium, antimony. .... Personal observations from orbital flight: the body is a turquoise bluish green color with vivid streaks of rust orangeish red. A region towards one of the poles looked odd in relation to the rest of the body - more of a pink scarred hue. I may land there to survey. Also, 3 very large impact craters were observed at the opposite pole, all 3 contained a lighter orange rust color with material streak / scar marks protruding out from the crater. | personal observations from surface: Landed in the odd looking area. The coloration is much different, like a pinkish purple and with the glare / reflection of the nearby star the geography seems to almost glow in some places. One mountain in particular let off a bright purple glow - I have informally named it cotton candy mountain. Testing of materials gathered confirms presence of minerals iron, carbon, phosphorous. There may be others. I left that area and proceeded to the region with the 3 large craters. I have just touched down and will call it a night. For now I have logged these 4 new discoveries but the system chart is showing quite a few more, a dozen or so. I will probably be in this system for a while.
