Colonial Cutter #2

Day 2 and off to Colonia. After another quick scuttle around the surface, was time to dust off and head out on the first plot to Colonia. Fairly uneventful and nothing too spectacular until I dropped in on a super high luminosity A-class that was crying out for a cheeky Gutamaya advertCouple of hops later, jumped in on a supergiant that seemed to be very active, flare-wise. Decided to drop out and take a few snaps:
KANEDA! WHAT DO YOU SEE!
Got a little caught up in the photos ("I can't help it, it's so beauuuutiful!") and didn't spot the Cassandra quietly cooking until the smoke from the paintwork started getting in the way of the shots - rapidly plotted an escape vector and booked it!
Few jumps later I found myself in a quiet spot just outside a nearby nebula. Decided to drop out of supercruise and take some downtime to inspect the hull:
No drama, just paint damage. Fired the Cassandra back up and carried on towards Colonia. As I got closer (and the various highways started to converge), most of the hops landed in explored/scanned systems, so I was pretty much on autopilot until I found myself in an unexplored system with an ELW no less. Put the Cass in orbit and took the fighter out for a spin - the planet looked pretty good, slightly higher g than ideal at 1.5 and lower atmo at 0.8, but the latter offset by 29% O2.
Docked the fighter, entered the last plot to Colonia. Didn't take long before I was in system aaaand insta-dicted - definitely back in "civilization" Submitted, boosted, booked it and made it safely to Jaques. Quick data ditch/resupply and some downtime to "stretch the legs". I'll be heading back out this evening to check out the development of Bubble 2.0 - will probably swing by the Fuel Rats and catch up with some buddies while I'm down here before setting down for the night. Tomorrow - time to mosey on back!
