My last week with Fed-EX

The Fed-Ex data run between Sothis and Ceos no longer held any interest for me and to be honest neither did Jenna. I had made good money in the last few weeks and had a lot of fun with Jenna between shifts but it was now time to move on. My head was full of the adventures I would have with Ashley and a fully armed Sirius patrol ship.I handed in my contract termination notice and worked my final weeks notice. I had stacked another 200 data missions and my percentage cut from Fed-Ex made me a "Merchant" according to the Pilot Federation rankings.
I cannot say I will miss the Sidewinder and I was looking forward to flying the Python. Both are "snake" ships from Faulcon DeLacy. Essentially 300 year old designs augmented with technology advances such as the recent introduction of the Frame Shift Drive in 3290. Advances in computer automation have also reduced crew requirements but the basic hull and configurations have not changed and therefore they are still compromised by the restrictions of its original design which then determine the roles they can perform.
I have arranged to meet with Ashley on her ship in the hanger next week.
