Jumping into Deciat I scanned the system and picked up the coordinates for Farseer Inc on planet 6A and continued in super-cruise to the planets surface.
Following an optimal glide path from an orbital decent I picked up the base and made my final approach without any problems. Planning permission was granted and I was informed my arrival had been noted. The base was impressive and clearly either Felicity was very wealthy or she was being bank-rolled by someone else that was.
Felicity was true to her word. I paid her in Meta Alloys and she upgraded my FSD. She asked me if I had seen anything odd whilst extracting the materials and I told her of my encounter with the strange alien ship. She didn't seem surprised and I was sure it wasn't the first time she had heard of such things. Unfortunately I didn't have enough materials for a full grade 5 upgrade but the grade 4 boost had increased the FSD range of the Supernova to 42 Light years which was a significant increase.
The upgrades took the best part of a week to complete. During that time I had several opportunities to talk with Felicity Farseer. She was a legendary explorer and over the week she shared some of that knowledge about heading out into the black. I also learned that she had based herself here at her father's mining and refinery facility, though in fact her operation is separate. Having developed my relationship with her she informed me about another engineer who could also help upgrade my ship.
