We landed at Sakers Enterprise. A small planetary outpost owned by the Procyon Crimson Advanced Ex. an independent corporation that was making innovative breakthroughs in synthetic biology that had attracted the attention of Sirius. 
I stayed with the ship while Ashley went through to the Planetary Vehicle Hangar and took the Surface Recon Vehicle (SRV). The scarab SRV serve as a way to maneuver on a planetary surface. Depending on the gravity of the planet the SRV handles differently. SRVs have a Wave Scanner which is a unidirectional long-range forward facing scanner that detects a variety of vehicles and points of interest.
While I waited I listened to GalNet. Alien structures have been confirmed on at least two planets in the Pleiades Nebula.
Senator Denton Patreus's had been promoted to Admiral of the Fleet, giving him command of the Imperial Navy. Jaques Station, the only space station equipped for continuous star travel, attempted an extreme long-range jump to Beagle Point but didn't make it. So much going on but hard to see how it would effect me.
Ashley had carefully navigated around the base perimeter and manged to not set of any of the security sensors. Activating those would bring armed drones to investigate and if you were found they would attack. She would be able to fight them off but the mission would be blown. She found the comms datapoint and scanned it. The encryption key worked and the data was retrieved.
We made it back to Patterson Enterprise and we were both relieved that we had been successful. Give me a straight kill job over all the sneaky stuff any day of the week.
