Here I am hurtling through space with my life support being the only thing keeping me from becoming as cold as the space around me. But I suppose I'm getting ahead of myself aren't I?

It all started around 2 A.M. when I first woke up. I decided I'd go bounty hunting in the hazardous extraction site. When I get there I almost immediately see a Kisa Empire mining ship getting attacked by a python, then another one jumps in to help him fight off the python.

They're both begging for help over comms, and I couldn't let them just die to a python it's brutal and unfair, especially seeing as the miners were in haulers. Plus I'd get that pythons nice big fat bounty and some brownie points with Kisa Empire, which probably isn't a bad idea since they're in charge of my station.

So I jump in to help and the second I do I got the full force of that python, I both appreciate and despise the stupidity that follows, instead of running away these miners decide they'd continue to help me despite me telling them to get out of here.

I get the pythons shields lower and lower, his last layer turning red. Then the worst case scenario happens. He deploys a shield cell bank, there goes me killing him because my shield just fell. As I began to turn to flee his multicannons blew out my canopy.

As I start to charge my FSD and put some distance between us I watch as my hull rapidly drops from 100% to 8% as I jump to supercruise. When I began this log I was at 20 mins of life support. 5 minutes after getting out of there. Here I am now with 15 minutes left right after I docked.

Now I'm waiting for the station to repair my ship.  The mechanic in charge told me he'd never seen anything like this he'd only heard about it. He said that people here either die or run immediately. So I told him about those miners, and how he might have 2 more ships in the same situation as mine if they made it out alive.

He told me I might as well go to the pilots lounge or something because this is gonna take at least 8 hours to fix maybe more. That's when he noticed my patch. My Zealots of the Betrayed patch.

"Shit, you're a Zealot. I heard you guys were insane, I never had reason to believe it, but for me this is a reason to believe it."

I smugly replied "All in a day's work". I figure I might as well get some rest after that whole ordeal. It would be nice seeing as I usually only get a couple of hours of sleep before I'm back out there in my ship. Maybe I'll get to sleep through the whole repair. That'd be great.
