Early polls from Gleise 3876 are suggesting a possible upset in the making, as a wave of support for Spearhead Charter and their return to the traditional Vestige governance comes crashing down upon the controlling establishment, Xelebara Republic Party.
Rumor and accusation swirl regarding vote suppression and voter intimidation with polling places in predominantly Charter cordons being made inaccessible or outright closed by Xelebara authorities.
In an open show of defiance, Charter backers marched inside Mieville Vision en masse, targeting an area recently designated by signage as "OFF LIMITS - Station Refurbishment Project". Armed station security first threatened the marchers as they approached, but in the presence of our recording devices they metered their tone and eventually stood aside. Marchers continued through the area and its associated barricades, clearing the way beyond for voters to access their assigned polling place.
A march participant who wished to remain anonymous summed it up this way,
"The XRP is about power...they don't care about us...and they damned sure don't want us to have our say in what goes on here. We had to march, to show them we're not taking it anymore."
Continued efforts like these on the part of Xelebara Republic Party only serve to clearly illustrate why the people are making the right choice by casting their vote for The Vestige.
