The new normal? Expansion and all that comes with it.

Recorded on February 14, 3302Spending several days isolated in an escape pod isn't fun; not to mention the injuries I had. My right shoulder and knee were out of commission. I managed to stop the bleeding, but I needed medical aid soon. Soon didn't happen for about five days. Saunders's received my sequence gamma message and sent a rescue ship. The medical staff at The Dive is second to none and they deserve every medal in the galaxy. My recovery period was said to be at least two weeks. Back to my shop I went.
I was still in the officers' briefings during the time, and learned that EXO expanded into a new system! LDS 883, a trinary system, with a Coriolis station a whopping 50-some-odd-thousand light seconds away from the nav beacon. The group in power weren't happy about our presence and a war shortly broke out. As the war teams did their thing, I attempted to funnel supplies to boost our economy. After about a week and a half a cease fire was reached. The Coriolis station Smith Reserve was under EXO control. The grim reality of my main ship being no more settled in. That is...
My best employee brought me to a docking port on The Dive and there I saw something magnificent: An Asp Explorer. Highwind is her name and the registry code reads ETS-2411. The ownership details said it all, and it said that I was its owner. I had a new ship! Larger, bigger cargo hold, more hardpoints, and room for a decent sized crew! I immediately named Alec, said employee, my first officer. With my recovery period over, I decided to embark on more trade running.
During my missions, I was informed that Drunk was taking a sabbatical, and that Corvos showed themselves again to pirate civilians and destroy all EXO ships in Wolf 1301. Our fearless leader made his return recently though. EXO held a vote and decided to break off all alliances, preferring to stay neutral as possible. ....This being done on Valentine's Day is a situational irony.
Tonight being the 14th, I get to write about fresh events. Corvos did another attack run, appearing in small numbers...no more than four...but with powerful ships. The only ones nearby to defend had smaller defense and bounty hunting ships. I was not about to risk the Highwind so I took my viper. The fight didn't go so well, but we managed to barely hold them off.
We're stretched pretty thin at the moment between our three systems. To make it worse, the group who previously owned Smith Reserve are not happy with the terms of the cease fire and are threatening to break it...
