Definitely the new normal. Bureaucracy at its finest. 2/15/3302

February 15, 3302Woke up this morning sore still. I'm sure I'll get over it eventually. The LDS 883 Gold Galactic Service broke the cease fire, meaning all EXO combat ships are to report there and fight. I'm going to stay out of this one and focus on my logistics workload. CMDR Brainator reports that he cannot find any conflict zones involving EXO ships. The GGS may be testing our resolve. I'm just worried this will give Corvos another opportunity to make a guerrilla strike.
In the morning briefing CMDR Benji announced he was going to just be EXO's ambassador and leave his deputy wing director duties to someone else. He's a family man; everyone understood. I was given several trade proposals to look over and give recommendations on. I also was handed two proposals for long-range sensor platforms for Wolf 1301. Isn't this meant for another department? Regardless, I gave my thoughts and sent it back to the clerk to give to the correct dept.
Galnet had a very interesting news article up today. Dr. Palin is missing. The circumstances are suspicious for sure. Threats have been made to other scientists involved with the UA research. Space Cat? A Diamond Back Explorer was seen acting strange near Obsidian Orbital. No doubt that was General Scoot not long before he tracked me down last month.
I just walked by one of the officers' lounges when I overheard one of the CMDRs report that Corvos are assembling a small fleet in Wolf 287...one jump from the Okinura system where a massive community goal is underway. Pirates gonna pirate I guess.
It feels so odd that now I hand out minor missions on the bulletin board for interested civilians when I was in the reverse position only months ago. A lot of them are my employees who are taking the assignments, so it feels more like typical manager work. Some of my employees have purchased or earned their own ships making goods gathering easier for my shop.
