The Great Orion Odyssey - Day 4 (13/11/3301)

So I start the run to Betelgeuse, but in a change of tack and instead of just making a quick dash across space, yet again I changed my plan. Seems to happen daily! I filtered the nav-computer in the hope I can find undiscovered Water/Earth-like planets in systems and then began the 'weave', dropping in and out of many systems. It made for a slower approach to Betelgeuse, but it gave me a chance of some nice discoveries, hopefully. Also gave me time to clean the cockpit after the last 3 days of neglect. I was under instructions from the wife back in the homeworld!
So a much slower paced day today, but worth it definitely. Day 4 was offering up what I was wanting, a few Water worlds, and Earth-Like and a new one to me, an Ammonia based world. And half of those found were Terraformables! That doesn't include the number of metal based terrformables too. I'm really looking forward to cashing this lot in. Just a shame the computer doesn't hold some sort of onboard log of discoveries! I may have to put in a suggestion to the nav- system developers about this. I mean, pen and paper in 3301?!
So I trucked my way across, covering a small 600Ly which is much, but it gave me the chance to recharge the batteries after the hectic pace of the first 3 days, and just a small 600 more to go to Betelgeuse.
The trusty Infante Henrique Asp Explorer is in fine fettle, so we might not go straight home after reaching Betelgeuse, we'll see how moral is. Turth is, I'm just enjoying the discovering too much at the minute.
