'And I don't need your Civil War' .....

... 'It feeds the rich while it buries the poor' ... ironically I was in the station bar last night, playing the same silly music game from some long time ago when this track comes on from a band that was called Guns'n'Roses. And just as those words pumped out (great sound by the way) a local BH comes charging in and announces that two of the local factions have gone into Civil War.Knowing this was the last thing my new employers would have wanted to be included in, I made a slow walk to a corner of the room, to find some cover.
When you work in a Anarchy system, you know your safe areas. And this generally in times of upheval isn't one of them.
The room went into silence, the barman found a sudden need to find the cellar (for some reason he took the Cr dispenser with him!) and the customers started to get twitchy and casting glances around the room. A fellow mercenary who I have worked along side in the local Haz RES gave me the nod and made his exit, being stood right next to it.
It was announced who the 2 factions were, and a few firearms were drawn, but fortunately no shots fired. The room soon divided into a them and us situation though.
I made my exit, and went to speak with my contact. Unfortunately, he had nothing to offer, it looks like the uncertainty has had effects on his needs.
'I don't have anything at the moment, check back tomorrow when we have a clearer picture of what's going on with these two.'
What I did find though was a Cr offer from both sides for combat kills confirmed. So I dashed off to find my Merc mate, see what his plans are.
'Where you heading? I was thinking of hitting the zones. Fancy winging with me?'
'I got problems with some local police, not sure I want to hang around during all this. I was only in the bar waiting for repairs on my scanner. I'll go get that done elsewhere now. I'll be back in a few days though, probably find you in here haha.'
'OK. Get me when you get back. Good money to be had if we are careful.'
With that he hit the dock. I went to the armoury and got a refill on the cannon's. Then made my way to the Combat Zone.
You gotta keep the Cr rolling.
That song is ringing in my ears now,
'That you can't trust freedom when it's not in your hands'
'When everbody's fighting for their promised land'
'And I don't need your Civil War'
