False information, a curtailment and back to the void.

I made home of the new place. It wasn't too bad, but not the friendliest either. Every newcomer was treated with deep suspicion. No wonder, the place was lawless. Totally. So I made my cover as trader, bored with life in the bubble, looking for something a little simpler, just ferrying goods as needed. Took a few jobs running cargo back to the bubble and bringing needed supplies back out, medicines and the such.
Now Duta wanted me to get some info on the leading faction, and potential expansion. I have no idea where he got his info from, but it was well wide of the mark. They could barely control the place nevermind expand. And it was only 2 days after I arrived that Civil War kicked off. So I took he opportunity to earn some money. I took the side of the protagonists. Communists, but hey, at least they offered some order and security in the place.
Then it suddenly occurred to me. Its 2 days before the ancient holidays and I'm stuck out here. I took a trip back to 'home', met Duta and passed on what I knew. Then went back, packed my bags and buggered off for the holidays. He ain't paying me so what the hell. I came back for one day, did a few jobs and checked the place over but nothing had changed. The Commies had won the CW, but the main station still wasn't under their control. I then went off again for the new year celebrations.
When I returned again, nothing had changed, the whole place was in turmoil, nothing for me here I decided and went back home. I found Pastolis hovering around the Virtu-Gym. Trust me, he's never been to a gym, virtual or not.
'I'm done over there. Nothing to report. It's a dump. they ain't expanding nowhere. And whoever is feeding you people that rubbish, is spinning you a yarn there and back.'
'Your not finished Jim. You've barely been there a week.'
'Yeah, and nearly got my arse handed to me on a few occasions. It's lawless, you pricks are clueless. So I'm done. And I'm gone too. I'm off to Sag A. Back in a few weeks. Maybe you people can sort your shit out in the meantime.'
'This won't go down well with Mr Duta and the Minister.'
'That's a shame. Perhaps in the future they ought to pay me better. Or just pay me for a start. Look, the thing is broken. The commies smashed em up in the zones. The people are screaming for them to take over the whole system. But its bust, something is playing in the background that just ain't right. And until it's sorted nothing will change.Till then, I'm done.'
And with that I turned tail and went to the hanger. I got in the Magellan, messaged Merc about my plans. He said he's coming, he'll set out later today and see me there. Merc got hold of Oppo, they were both down in the bubble running tea and bacon for the Fed. He's coming to. 3 to rendezvous at Sag A.
I'm sure Duta won't be happy with my actions. But I'll put money on it that he's more annoyed about the duff gen he's been getting from some other source.
So I bid farewell to home, and made for the middle.
