Callsign Tactical Tree, log entry 2: Industrial firmware
26 Mar 2017Thomas Odell
I pulled some strings here and there yesterday and the results are mediocre to say the least. If I realised how hard this firmware is to get, I wouldn't have been so careless. Apparently noone wants to risk their job to sell it.Update: Finally found a guy in Alliance system, KZ Andromedae.Apparently he's willing to sell the data, the only problem it's quite deep in their territory. It's for the best though, won't risk leaking any imperial corp data. I'll take this old-ass cargo ship, shouldn't have any trouble along the way... I hate flying unarmed.
Update: This idiot left my data in a god damn public acces point. I wasn't going to pay for that, he says noone accessed it, but what do I care? If anyone else is getting it for free so am I. On the other hand, I am now wanted in KZ Andromedae, apparently someone notified the system security there is an imperial agent in the system. Time to check the other contacts, maybe they had a bit more brains.
Update: All the others turned out to be shit. They either panicked or gave me the wrong stuff, you can't depend on anyone these days. What I arleady have will have to do, I hope the man can squeeze the power out real good.
Update: I have no idea how he's doing it, but apparently it's not that complicated, just the materials he's using have to be top notch. The beams on my ship can now fire indefinitely even with just two pips. I have to admit, I was sceptical at first, but it works. The only question is how long will this module last, I must imagine if it was possible and safe to do, it would've been manufactured like that.
Here's hoping it won't mess up in battle.
