Report A-0001

05 Nov 2023Keltsfrits
Been quite a while since ive made a report, bout time i started back up. Been away on leave for quite a long time as well... constant combat does things to you... wears you down in ways you cant imagine.

I got the call a few days ago from CMDR Ivy Hall, time for me to return to active duty. The Mandalorian clans are stretched out on several fronts and its become an "all hands on deck" scenario.

After dusting off my gear I made my way out to my assigned AO and met up with CMDR Konnit. He was a rather new addition to our clan, but determined to show his worth. He had already been working with the local military in defending ground assets so we formed a fireteam and dived into the hottest sites. We fought off assault after assault but they just kept coming, determined to wear us down. Konnit and I were able to keep the settlement from falling until the military could send reinforcements, they arrived just in time. With little munitions and left and hours of assaults we returned to base in the ships that came to relieve us. Feeling like we had done a great deal that day and held off several offensives, our hearts sunk when we realized the scale of the battle in orbit above our heads. While we had been holding the ground our forced had been losing the battle for in orbit... We had lost the day.

More Commanders had arrived the next morning to join the fireteam and assist. Fireteam Alpha was now a full set. The orbital battle from the day before resulted in our ground forces being overrun some hours after we were relieved and a blockade being established around the planet. Fireteam Alpha, now composed of CMDR Konnit, CMDR Vin Core, CMDR Catyusha, and myself, led a spearhead into the blockade with support from military pilots. After 5 hours we were able to break the blockade and pick apart the enemy fleet. The enemy scattered into small wings that the military was able to hunt down as Fireteam Alpha now turned to retaking the ground assets that were lost the night before. We operated in pairs once boots hit the ground and swiftly overpowered the settlement defenses. They did not let us take full control so easily however as the small wings above us kept pouring in new enemy troops, forcing us to fight in front and behind ourselves. We did finally take the settlement back but CMDR Konnit had taken an L-6 on low shields and needed evac. When the military sent another battalion in to hold the settlement Fireteam Alpha covered Konnit's evac. I returned with Konnit to the med bay while Cat and Vin held ground at the settlement.

In spite of Konnit's injuries we had good news. The blockade was broken, the settlement reclaimed, the day was ours, and to top it off the medics informed us that Konnit was recovering well. I cant say i missed being in day long engagements, but i did miss the comradery of fighting alongside my brothers and sisters protecting our clans. Thanks for the call to arms Ivy, its good to be back along side everyone. o7 Commanders.
