A distraction or part of the whole picture

Salome is dead. The news feeds continue to buzz with the news. Meanwhile commanders of the Maia system have been reporting possible alien sightings. Could this be simply a ploy to pull much needed resources away from the Maia system? Or simply just a lousy case of bad timing? We can only hope the "truth" we have been hearing about is worth while. I may head back to Maia when preparations are done with the tsugumori. Hopefully time is on our side.
