CCS-94 Day 0

12 Apr 2017SirGoat
F*** You Crapper was all I heard that Night as the Hydraulic doors to the arrivals lounge closed behind me, yeah by the way my Sir name is Crapper, bloody family, why was that a good idea? 4000 years this names been in my families blood or, that's as far back as it goes and oh you don't care this pile of notes is just for the tax at the end of the month, note to self remember to file it before the 28th some months aren't 31 days long or something, I don't want another bounty on my head for tax dodging, if I'm going out in this line of work its not to bloody paperwork.

Anyway yeah the 'lounge' fight, its not even a lounge I've been here what 6 days, Lu Hub has got 68 Bars on it and the only one that I feel comfy in is the arrivals lounge at the rear of the port, It doesn't even sell anything decent. However, its the only bar on the station I feel I've got a decent chance of walking out of without getting a knife or a bullet in the back. I went and sat in Jacksons last night, I was told by one of the engineers working on my new FSD it was a good joint but the moment I walked in I felt out of place in my Federation branded outfit, might as well have been a uniform, one drink in and the keep asked me politely not to cause any trouble with the crowd. It pains me to admit I used to be one of these guys working for Delaine, Piracy used to be an alright living, fellow pilots and wing men were great laughs but ever since the alien spottings mixed in with the empire having us on the run I had to pick a side, things weren't right and my banks doing a hell of alot better now Its lined with Federal Credits. I act like its just money, but if it was id be in cargo.

So I managed to get out of Jacksons alright, its close to the security office so if I really was out of my depths its only a short sprint and 2 window pains to jump through until Id have some backup, hopefully. The real issues began when I lugged myself into the lounge, pilot by the name of lanin, funny bloke, imperial, didn't take kindly to my comments on his faction and its crude abidance to its own law, nothing bad happened last night though, only a few drinks before i'd cooled off the adrenaline high id had all yesterday.

Tonight was slightly different, Id bumped into the guys Cutter today in one of the combat zones that keep springing up, Its been so long since Id spilt Imperial blood but section 4 of last weeks briefing was the same as its been for my whole carrier,[b]'Don't shoot the bloody Imperials unless you're shot at first'[/b ] I may sound like an ass, and I've defiantly been an ass, but in recent I've really seen the federation as a home, and I wouldn't want to start a war just because I got thirsty. Of course 30 minutes into my combat run just as I was about to turn around and fly back for a refit. I take my eye off the ball for one minute and crash into the bastard, I luckily had my shields up and due to my recent efforts in reinforcing them they took the brunt of the impact. However, his cutter had a FDL Shaped dent in the port structural wing.

So guess what, I walk into the bar and about 10 seconds later I get thrown out, physically thrown, more like a really hard push, but I can still feel my back after it, I went to medical and they say my nose'll heal but I better not take my fixture off. 10 seconds 1 broken nose and a messed up back. Ill give it to him and his wing, they can punch. Pricks must have got a scan off on me to know my name, still at least the Sheriff drinks in there or things might have been a little different, probably involving me having to have surgery.

Anyway Flight Operations today went swimmingly, somewhere between 50-60 ships in total, but I don't want to over do it. Ships still new, and im still trying to dial in on the new tech installed on the thrusters, this thing was worth every penny, rather not have to replace the whole thing so soon so Ill go easy.
Tomorrow at 9:00 GMT we get the all clear, and I get to say goodbye to this shoddy station, and the Lawless scum here.
Why the hell do we get deployed on these peace keeping missions, the only good that comes of it is my bank balance, and I'm sure Hudson Cares about that alot right now...
