Titanfall

COMMANDER'S LOG03/02/3310 20:00 GST
We've done it. We've actually defeated a Thargoid Titan. Hard to believe those massive monstrosities can actually be destroyed. When I broke the news to the crew onboard the Knight's Citadel, I could hear cheers throughout the bridge. However, we held a moment of silence for the brave souls who died in defense of humanity and the innocent civilians who likely didn't survive the detonation of Taranis.
We've lost way too many people in this war. War is bloody and often catches innocents in the crossfire as well as good people that otherwise wouldn't have to fight. The sad thing is, I honestly believe this war could have been prevented. This period of aggression on both sides started because the superpowers and other groups couldn't leave well enough alone when it came to meta-alloys from the Pleiades and other nebulae with a Thargoid presence and escalated when the overly egotistical Caleb Wycherly, or Salvation, as he styled himself, decided to try and use the technological capabilities of the Guardians to try and commit xenocide against the Thargoids. Of course, his superweapon failed and brought the Titans down on us. All of these deaths were unnecessary and their blood lies on the hands of the superpowers, Wycherly, and other groups I will not mention in this log. For now, we fight against the tide that is this invasion, but I honestly wish for a reckoning.
Commander Dean Knight, signing off.
