Exploration Voyage: Nebula Adventure

Voyage Prologue: Pre-flight Preparations.Docked at Diaguandri, I made my pre-flight preparations, changing and fitting my ship for the upcoming voyage of the nearby nebulas. This of course including: D-rating several internals, removing all hardpoints, utilities, as well as removing all defensive modules like: my shield and hull reinforcements. A quick scan over all possible passenger missions later and I was off, my ship soaring through the airlock, darting into the station's shadow and charging my FSD.
First stop: The North America and the Pelican nebulas.
Traveling about two-thousand light years out, my firsts stop was the two neighbouring nebulas: North America and the Pelican sectors. On my arriving, the two neighbouring nebulas were like diamonds in the empty, star-shot skies of seep space, swirls of red gas and star clusters welcoming me within view.
Second stop: The Elephant's Trunk nebula.
My second stop on the list, the Elephant's Tusk nebula being twice the size of my previous two destination combined, was a cluster of red and green gasses mixed within the clusters of stars, a truly beautiful sight from the cockpit of my ship. I spent sometime flying around in this nebula, scanning planets of interest and taking in the view the nebula offered.
Third stop: The NGC 7822 nebula.
One of the more interesting nebulas on my list, the NGC 7822 nebula consisted of many 05 V star type systems, many of them with Black Holes within their grasp. All these systems within the nebula seem to take the shape of a decently straightened arrow pointing in the direction of The Bubble, certainly a place of interest and one that has captured my gaze appropriately. On my arrival, I then spent some time exploring within the Nebula, travelling out to a Black Hole or two before then heading out to and docking at Gorgon Research Facility in the nebula's Sector BQ-Y D12 System. This gave me a chance to catch my breath if you will, and relax, repair any damages and fill my tank before my departure from both the system and the nebula itself.
Fourth stop: The California nebula.
My second last destination before I planned to return to The Bubble, I expect myself to be out there for some time, as this nebula in particular is one of the places I have been more exited about venturing to. Upon my arrival into the Nebula, I first went to the Sector BA-A E6 system, a small part of populated space within the nebula. When I came out of the jump, I first scanned the navigation beacon before docking planet side, at Mic Turner Base. I soon left the system for another further down the nebula in search for Barnacles, I had heard that California Sector DL-Y D4, planet: C6, had yielded sightings of housed barnacles so that was my destination. With just over an hour of no luck, I then decided to expand my search to the closest systems to what was, my current location. Another hour had passed with no luck until, after almost giving up, I had come across an intact barnacle. After observing and studying the strange, organic like being of a figure, I was then back on course for home, satisfied that I had not waisted time in a failed search.
Fifth stop: Maia.
My second last destination, I wanted to stop by Maia on my way back to The Bubble as not only was I to pass right by it, I also wanted to repair the damages inflicted to my ship I had acquired through some... questionable, flying back in the California nebula, I hadn't the want to detour back to populated space there, so instead I continued off to Maia instead. Docked at Obsidian Orbital, repaired and refuelled, I skimmed over the galaxy map one last time, for any detours I desired to take before I truly started heading back. With no more points of interest that I had not already been to, I launched, departing for Diaguandri, 258.72ly out from Maia, a stretch I could achieve within seven jumps.
Voyage Epilogue: Diaguandri.
I finally arrived back at Diaguandri, finally having the time to properly relax and go over the voyage. I then sold the universal cerographics after repairing my ship and bringing her back to full, combat glory. In total: not only did the voyage bag me some great views, wonderful adventure and personally finding a barnacle, but also 13,577,259 credits in universal cartographics. Now, restored to combat use, me and my anaconda have some well-earned hunting. The credits gained from the nebula voyage have helped greatly in my goals to A-rate several internals for The ISS B.Eclipse. If I were to do another exploration trip, I'd imagine I would go further and see more, bigger nebulas further out from The Bubble. In the end though, I was glad to have done my own, sightseeing adventure for once.
