Colonia Exodus

14 Jun 2018Gimbal Locke
Disembarked for Colonia from Robert Station in Coeletuvean system  at 0Z on June 9, 3304.

Ship: Imperial Cutter -- Ripley's Escape

Passenger Manifest: 75 total (14 aid workers, 5 refugees, and 56 "tourists"), paying 10,813,724 CR.

Data: 7 Courier delivery missions and 1 secure information for 7,347,368 CR.

Cmdr Whiplash1983 and Kushiel's Dart joined in for the trip.

We met up at our first waypoint, Mammon, around 0100.  Since I was a bit ahead of schedule, I diverted to a star cluster I was interested in near HD 326339.  The cluster looks like a pretty set of jewels from a few hundred light years away, but nothing special once you get there, I'm afraid.

Found a couple of Earth-likes and a system with 3 water worlds along the way, but nothing worth noting.

Parked the ship on nearby landable planet  NGC 6231 Sector WK-N b7-0 A 1.

Disembark for Eagle Sector at 13:30

---------------------------------

Diverted for Omega Sector instead.  Base there has outfitting and I want to thin out all the enemies after me.

Ugh -- all they have are 1D cannons.  Just filled all my hardpoints with them (6 in total) and went out in supercruise.  One interdicted me, then two more dropped in before local authorities arrived.  Managed to take out two with their help, but third one got away.  Still have about 6 more on my tail :/

Finished off the pirates and sold the cannons about as fast as I could.  Nice to have that worry off my plate (two were deadly FDLs!).

Found an earth-like in Omega Sector MC-V c2-13, planet 1, another in Omega Sector EL-Y d238 (with two water worlds!).  And, most beautiful place I've seen in the game, Byeia Eurk GF-R d4-314, planet 3.  It's a ringed earth-like in a binary system with a ringed brown dwarf whole pole is perpendicular to their orbit.  There's also a clear view of the Omega star cluster, just a gorgeous system.

Arrived in Eagle Security base around 03:30Z on 10 June.  Plan to disembark for Big Mama @ 13:30.  Cmdr Happy Daze decided to join in so keeping slow pace to give him some time to catch up.

Preparing to disembark for Big Mama (Ellaidst AA-A h9)

Will mill around those parts while fellow cmdr's catch up.

---------------------------------

Arrived at Big Mama at 01:30Z on 11 June.  Last 20 jumps took forever due to high frequency of interesting/valuable systems.  Especially this gem (Ellaidst WP-T c18-16)

Got pretty far separated from my wing mates, so decided to plot course straight for Ogmar.  295 jumps to go 10,800 Ly with LOTS of neutron star jumps along the way.  what could go wrong?

---------------------------------

Making fast progress to Ogmar.  Lots of undiscovered neutron stars this way, too!  Best one so far Ploi Aim RY-S d3-974 which had a water world and three terraformable planets.  Took a couple of glamour shots of the cutter in front of some close-orbiting moons.  Ultimately landing on one in Byoi Aewsy BY-S b4-0 system.  200 jumps to Ogmar.

---------------------------------

Arrived in Boelts JA-D b4-28 at 01:30 on 13 Jun.  Hit a nice neutron star highway and covering lots of distance.  Still 130 jumps to Ogmar.

---------------------------------

Passengers started complaining "are we there yet?" So double-timed it to Ogmar for first drop-off. Arrived 22:15 on 13 Jun without any problems. All passengers, missions and exploration data cashed in by 22:45. Made ~80 Mil credits for the trip -- not quite what I hoped, but still not too shabby!
