Faulcon Delacy did it again. The new krait variant is changing a lot. The much valued Lakon Asp Explorer finally got an adequate inheritor in the medium ship class for exploration.There is nothing wrong with the Asp and the Dark Matter served me well over the months. I could not resist though replacing her with the Aurora Borealis - a Krait Phantom. I simply equipped her with the engineered modules of the Dark Matter, so this time it was a quick act to switch my ride.
It jumps a little further, has more room for anything, is looking spectacular and over all - it`s stonecold.
The systems measured a heat level of 12% in normal drive at my last excursion. I think this is remarkable. You want to transport something without getting too much attention by anybody? Stay in the shadows with the phantom. I score 17% with the Krait MKII and it works well, but this? I get goose bumps just by thinking about
The price to pay is significant higher but this vessel rewards you at any lightsecond.
By the way, the new scanning technologies are just great. I can`t tell why, but exploring are actually much more fun now.
