Commander's log: Day two

I've been out of the bubble for around 24 hours now, and I've managed to cross approximately 2500 light-years in this time. With this being my longest planned trip as of yet, as I plan to head at least as far as 'rendezvous point', I was extremely hyped for some alone time aboard my Asp Explorer, Stargazer II. Things have begun well thus far. A couple of stunning binary stars along my path, and a couple of beautiful rocky ice worlds. Even an Earth-like, and an unclaimed water world. While I sit in my enclosed cockpit, staring aimlessly at the one hundredth High metal content world, I begin to ponder as to whether or not I will find anything worthwhile. Sure, there's the galactic core, with it's marvelous, bright stars enclosing it, and the new bubble forming around Colonia, however I have reason to believe that the emptiness of space is just that - empty. Lackluster amounts of unique planets have enclosed me for several hours now, and I have yet to see anything that I haven't seen before. Of course, I haven't come across everything the galaxy has to offer - my excuse to continue pushing on. However, I have read stories of fellow explorers getting 'Space Madness' from spending too long away from civilization. But they're just that - stories. Or at least, I hope that would be so...
