Commander's log: Day four
01 May 2017EpicH29
I made it to Attenborough's watch in the Lagoon Nebula today. However I didn't stay for long, as the urge to continue on is killing me. Therefore I only really stayed to restock my AFMU and fuel, and repair my hull before taking in the remarkable sights and setting course for the Omega Nebula, approximately 1500 light years ahead. Once I had my ship repaired and restocked, I headed out again, but beforehand, an interdiction by a pirate. I dropped off in Herschel 36, the center of the nebula. Next on the agenda was to plot the course and head to the Omega Nebula. The pleasures of being around civilization had already faded away, and were once again replaced with the boredom of scanning the same planets. That is until...Finally! Something worthwhile!
I had found an unclaimed Earth-Like planet some 500 light years from my destination. I decided to dub it as 'New Horizon'. On the next couple of jumps, some unclaimed high metal content planets, and two unclaimed water worlds.
I had struck gold.
I continued on my trip and arrived at the Omega mining operation base in the Omega nebula at approx. 23:00 hours, where I settled my ship to rest after a long day, of course after exploring the area for a bit.
Perhaps this is what I was looking for - the mix of beautiful nebula and planetary sights while still finding interesting, worthwhile planets. I'll just have to wait and see.
