The Endless Sea of Brown Dwarfs

Getting down into the galactic disc for an easier transition across the vast emptiness between the Perseus and Outer Spiralarm, I got surprised by bad routing. The galactic disc is full of young stars, many of them brown dwarfs or simply too young to be scoopable. This dense mass of non-scoopable stars turned out to be the bane of my ship's computer. Every route over more then a couple dozen light years routed through unscoopable stars and just ignored every "normal" star, presumably because most of them were too far out of the way for the computer.
Right now I'm forced to make shorter hops, targeting scoopable stars just in range of my fuel tank.
It'll be interesting to see if this dark band of brown dwarfs ends up helping me to the edge of the galaxy, or if it ends up being a massive pain in the ass.
Addendum:
Looks like the worst is behind me now. Roughly half the void between the outer arms is done, from now on I'll start to enter the Outer Arm proper.
